Parkland and playground landscape for Niblick Park, Sandhurst — new play equipment, rubber soft-fall mounding, a putting green, BBQ shelters, amenities and pathways, plus refurbishment of the existing waterway.
Niblick Park is a neighbourhood parkland in Sandhurst, Victoria. LARK's landscape plan brings a new playground and a set of shared recreation spaces into the existing park, working around the established trees, pathways and waterway already on site.
The Parkland Landscape plan (1:200) sets out new playground equipment on rubber-mulch soft-fall mounding alongside the existing bark soft-fall, an open grass 'kick n throw' area, and a new putting green and ball-games area.
For gathering, the plan adds BBQ and shade structures with dining settings, a new amenities building and new bench seating, linked by new pathways and pavement that tie into the existing path network and pedestrian bridge.
Existing trees are retained within the project area and supplemented with new trees and garden areas, an existing fallen tree trunk is kept as a natural play and habitat element, and the existing waterway is refurbished as part of the works. The parkland views in the document show how these pieces come together as one recreation setting.
